How a Fleet Management System Works
A fleet GPS system is an electronic device installed in a truck to enable the fleet manager to track the vehicle's location. the majority of modern fleet GPS systems use Global Positioning System modules to obtain the current location of the vehicle. Most systems also work with a communications component such as satellite or cellular transmitters to show the vehicle’s location to a remote user. Vehicle information can be viewed on electronic maps via the Internet or specialized software.
